In this series, Flash trainer Craig Campbell introduces you to the concept of creating Flash elements for an HTML website. Throughout this series, you'll learn how to create animated headers, Flash menus, Flash buttons, slideshows, music players, and video players using Flash, and then once you've created these standalone Flash files, you'll learn how to insert them effectively into your HTML website. This series assumes a basic familiarity with Flash and HTML.

In this video, Craig introduces himself, tells you what you can expect from this series, and explains how the project folders are set up.
2 - Creating a Flash Header - Part 1 (Running Time - 13:33)
In this video, Craig will begin creating a Flash header that has the same dimensions as the image header that is currently at the top of our project website.
3 - Creating a Flash Header - Part 2 (Running Time - 15:23)
Craig finishes up the header by animating some clouds and then publishing the file.
4 - Replacing the Image Header with Flash (Running Time - 7:23)
After publishing the file, Craig opens up a couple of html files and shows you what you need to do in order to replace the plain image header with the Flash header that you just created.
5 - Creating a Flash Menu - Part 1 (Running Time - 10:29)
In this video, Craig begins creating a Flash menu to replace the current plain text menu.
6 - Creating a Flash Menu - Part 2 (Running Time - 9:25)
With the stage set up, Craig adds subtle animations to the buttons in the Flash menu.

In this video, Craig finishes up the Flash menu, publishes it, and then inserts it into our html website.

In this video, you’ll learn how to encode flash video files using the external Flash 8 Video Encoder, and then you’ll take those videos and link to them from within your Flash file.
12 - Custom Video Player - Part 2 (Running Time - 10:47)
Now that the video’s playing, Craig shows you how to create your own stop and play buttons for your video player. Also, he’ll show you how to add code to switch between 3 different videos.
13 - Implementing the Video Player (Running Time - 10:47)
In this video, Craig publishes the custom video player to the html website, and then he adds a few finishing touches to the video player.
14 - Creating an Audio Player (Running Time - 11:45)
In this video, Craig will show you how to add a basic Flash audio player to your website with stop and play buttons.

In this video, Craig introduces you to a premade Javascript file that allows you to embed your Flash files using Javascript in order to get around the problem that was illustrated in the last video.
21 - Embedding Flash Using SWFObject (Running Time - 14:14)
Now that we’ve looked at what the SWFObject can do, Craig demonstrates how to implement it in this video.
22 - Final Touches (Running Time - 4:57)
